John
Johnny had been busy entertaining Kerry, who was only in town for two more days, but Johnny had convinced to go enjoy a day of being a tourist on his own today. He loved the fucker, would miss him when he fucked back off to New York, but- He also could only deal with that love-sick puppy-dog gaze for so long. He needed a break- And to grab a couple of shirts he'd left at John's
"Open up, choom. I just need to grab my shit," he said as he knocked. Though it wasn't John who opened the door- It was some dinky looking twink in desperate need of a haircut.
"You're not the man who brings the fried fish," Fawn noted, tilting his head and leaning in to give Johnny a curious sniff.
"Who the actual fuck are you, and what middle school did John steal you from?" Johnny asked flatly.
"I am fawn, I don't go to school. ...I like your arm, it's shiny," the fae noted, reaching to touch it- Only to be lightly swatted away by Johnny.

"Oh fuck, you like him," Johnny accused, pulling a face. "You know that's a fucking mistake, right?"
no subject
"Mistake's already been made, mate. Too late to walk it back," he shrugged. "And I can't send him back...and I can't kick him out..."
no subject
"Of course you can," Johnny argued. "You just don't want to. Not the same thing."
no subject
"To be fair, I thought he'd move on. Like you did," he said. "I didn't mean to like him."
no subject
"Don't put this on me," Johnny snorted. "I didn't move out so you could gather new strays."
no subject
"You two are only the most recent in a long line of strays," John chuckled. "Nasty habit. Worse than smoking.:
no subject
"Yeah, no shit. You should quit," Johnny replied, shaking his head. "Look, I'm not going to tell you how to live, but that kid is trouble. He reeks of it."
no subject
"He's just curious," John scoffed. "He's not going to hurt anyone."
no subject
"Right," Johnny replied dryly.
no subject
"He's not!" John insisted. "I'll take care of him until he wants to go. And enjoy it while I do. That's all."
He sort of cringed, though. What if he was deluding himself? What if Johnny could see something in Fawn he was blind to because of his affection?
That would actually be...pretty normal.
no subject
"Just be careful, that's all I'm saying," Johnny replied, finishing his smoke and flicking away the butt.
no subject
"I am the most careful man you'll ever meet," John assured him. A fucking lie. An outright fucking lie. Such a lie that he couldn't not laugh.
no subject
"You're an idiot," was all Johnny said to that.
no subject
"I probably am, but it's never held me back. And you're one to talk. Tell me about Kerry, this time," he said, hoping to distract Johnny from his failings.
no subject
Johnny grunted, then shook his head.
"Idiot found out I was in London and insisted he come see me," he replied. "Brought my guitar."
no subject
"You are never going to shake him," he replied. "I don't see that ever happening. In any world."
no subject
Johnny grunted again, frowning deeply.
"I told him he can't stay."
no subject
"Why'd you go and do that?" John asked. "You might wind up happy for five minutes?"
no subject
"He has a solo career, a good one. He has a fucking wife and a kid on the way," Johnny replied.
And yeah, he knew in his heart Kerry would never be happy with her, that a divorce was inevitable, but he didn't want to be the cause.
no subject
John watched him a long moment.
"Mm-hmm," he intoned, then took a swallow of beer.
"We're a couple top scholars, aren't we? How do we get ourselves involved in this shit?"
no subject
"Our magnetic charm," Johnny replied, turning his best smile on the other man, then letting it fade. "Fuck, I don't know. Bad luck, right?"
no subject
"The worst luck, mate," he agreed with a nod. What a sorry pair of sons of bitches. It had to be bad luck because there was no way John deserved some of the shit he found himself involved in.
no subject
"Anyway, he leaves in two days," Johnny shrugged. "Out of sight, out of my hair."
no subject
"You really going to be okay with that?" he asked.
no subject
"Me? 'Course," Johnny shrugged. "I never wanted him here to start with."
Which was sort of true. It would have been easier for the both of them if Kerry had never come.
