John
Johnny had been busy entertaining Kerry, who was only in town for two more days, but Johnny had convinced to go enjoy a day of being a tourist on his own today. He loved the fucker, would miss him when he fucked back off to New York, but- He also could only deal with that love-sick puppy-dog gaze for so long. He needed a break- And to grab a couple of shirts he'd left at John's
"Open up, choom. I just need to grab my shit," he said as he knocked. Though it wasn't John who opened the door- It was some dinky looking twink in desperate need of a haircut.
"You're not the man who brings the fried fish," Fawn noted, tilting his head and leaning in to give Johnny a curious sniff.
"Who the actual fuck are you, and what middle school did John steal you from?" Johnny asked flatly.
"I am fawn, I don't go to school. ...I like your arm, it's shiny," the fae noted, reaching to touch it- Only to be lightly swatted away by Johnny.

"Oi, you fucker, you don't call, you don't write?" John chuckled, coming to clap him on his arm.
"I've got a box of your things."
no subject
"I've been busy," Johnny insisted. "Not as busy as you though... You running a foster home for wayward twinks or something?" he asked, pointing at Fawn.
The fae frowned. "I do not know what that means, but I bristle nonetheless."
no subject
"Be nice, Johnny. This is Fawn. He's sort of like you. Not from around here, you know?" he said. "Fawn, meet Johnny. He lived here before you came."
He reached for his smokes, lit up, and offered one to Johnny.
"Where have you been?"
no subject
Fawn studied Johnny- Wondering why he was now an outsider. Would this be his fate too?
"I must lay down," the fae decided, turning away and headed into the bedroom.
Johnny took the smoke and lit up. "Around. Found a place to stay and now I'm trying to make new contacts. ...Or I was until my bandmate came around to visit."
He paused, then wet his lips. He and John had kinda known one another before all this. Different versions, sure, but still...
"You remember Kerry? Lead singer? He, uh- He flew out to see me."
no subject
The corner of John's tugged up in a knowing grin.
"So that's where you've been," he teased.
no subject
"It's not like that,"Johnny replied. "I mean, it is, but he's an idiot."
no subject
"You're an idiot," he accused with a laugh. "Let me get dressed. We can go get a beer. I want to hear all about it."
no subject
"Fine, and you can fill me in on your new pet," Johnny replied, getting to his feet.
no subject
John ducked into the bedroom with a bright, boyish grin.
"I'm going to duck down to the pub with Johnny for a pint, love. I won't be late," he said softly as he rushed into some clothes.
no subject
Fawn huffed and rolled over, pretending to be asleep.
...He was a dreadful pretender.
Johnny lingered by the door, leading the way out once John was ready.
no subject
John didn't hesitate to leave and was right on Johnny's heel on the way out.
"The Duck's open again. They fixed it up after the fire. Come on," he said. The only reason he liked the pub was that it was close. The pub closest to your own bed was always the best pub.
no subject
Johnny nodded, keeping pace with John as they walked.
"Seriously, where'd the kid come from, John? You in some shit? You need help?" he asked.
no subject
"It's sort of complicated," John said. "I did this job..."
He told him of Julian, of Alu, and all about Fawn. As he spoke it became increasingly apparent that he truly had feelings for the little fae.
"So...that's the shape of it," he said.
no subject
"Oh fuck, you like him," Johnny accused, pulling a face. "You know that's a fucking mistake, right?"
no subject
"Mistake's already been made, mate. Too late to walk it back," he shrugged. "And I can't send him back...and I can't kick him out..."
no subject
"Of course you can," Johnny argued. "You just don't want to. Not the same thing."
no subject
"To be fair, I thought he'd move on. Like you did," he said. "I didn't mean to like him."
no subject
"Don't put this on me," Johnny snorted. "I didn't move out so you could gather new strays."
no subject
"You two are only the most recent in a long line of strays," John chuckled. "Nasty habit. Worse than smoking.:
no subject
"Yeah, no shit. You should quit," Johnny replied, shaking his head. "Look, I'm not going to tell you how to live, but that kid is trouble. He reeks of it."
no subject
"He's just curious," John scoffed. "He's not going to hurt anyone."
no subject
"Right," Johnny replied dryly.
no subject
"He's not!" John insisted. "I'll take care of him until he wants to go. And enjoy it while I do. That's all."
He sort of cringed, though. What if he was deluding himself? What if Johnny could see something in Fawn he was blind to because of his affection?
That would actually be...pretty normal.
no subject
"Just be careful, that's all I'm saying," Johnny replied, finishing his smoke and flicking away the butt.
no subject
"I am the most careful man you'll ever meet," John assured him. A fucking lie. An outright fucking lie. Such a lie that he couldn't not laugh.
